In many instances within Pharmaceutical and Biotechs, Biobanks work in concert with clinical trials. In this context, Biobanks do not simply collect tissues, blood and other biospecimens. They also collect patient and donor data. Conforming to HIPAA requirements, Biotracker™ has configurable Study attributes to register patients and to annotate the biospecimens with Meta data such as diagnosis, stage, patient demographics, cohorts, etc. Where Biotracker™ is unique is in providing existing configurable Study templates for this purpose.
A CRO can also employ Biotracker™ for Animal Study management to track dosaging and deviations from scheduled blood draws. Plus, Biotracker™ has a fully functional Biobanking module for storing and tracking specimens for these sorts of trials.
